ELYSEFri Mar 19 2025

Where comfort meets fun in every bite.

Elyse is a cutlery set that blends playfulness with elegance, inspired by medieval forms and regal geometry. The project reimagines everyday utensils as sculptural tools of enjoyment, bringing character to each bite while maintaining functionality and comfort.

The set includes a spoon, butter knife, and dessert fork—each designed and modeled in SolidWorks, then 3D rendered and printed for testing. Every detail was shaped with intentional contrast: smooth meets rough, angular meets curved, utility meets ornament. From a pyramidal base that anchors the form to ergonomic handles and stylized motifs, Elyse invites users to slow down and savor.

Material finishes vary per utensil, from polished metal to rough aluminum and iron, creating tactile variation that adds to the experience of use. Elyse is more than cutlery—it’s a small, theatrical moment for the table.

SolidWorks Modeling

Each piece was precisely modeled in SolidWorks to explore form, proportion, and ergonomics. The CAD process allowed for detailed refinement of curves, angles, and surface transitions—balancing visual boldness with user comfort.

In-Use Photography
Styled and photographed in context, the cutlery invites tactile interaction. The bold forms and textured finishes come to life at the table, blending playful elegance with everyday usability.
